It is a sad day for rescue in California, as we lost a long time rescuer and friend. This morning, Sheila Kuesthardt (owner of K9 All Breed Rescue)passed away from a massive heart attack in Modesto, Ca. September 3, 2007
She raised and showed Siberian Huskies before spending much of her time finding homes for thousands of dogs, first primarily Huskies, and later all dogs with K9 All Breed Rescue.
She was always happy to talk, always
jolly, and a friend and mentor to
many. She will be sadly missed, and as the story of the
"Rescue Rainbow
Bridge", there are many of dogs bowing before her and will
take many
others across. And I, for one, celebrate her life, her impact,
and the
legacy she leaves behind.
All dogs that she was fostering have been transferred to other rescues.
