Frosty was a Siberian/Malamute mix. Weighing in at 100 lbs, the vet told me to put him on a diet a few years ago. Tell that to him!!
We eventually got him to a respectable weight of 80 lbs. He was a mighty animal. He had the Husky look with the Malamute frame. Deep of chest, he stood proud. Like a Husky, he was friendly with all humans. Like a Malamute, he led hard and stayed ahead of the other dogs, his instincts leading him on.
He got to see snow once in his life, he was a Texas Husky. He didn't seem to care for it. He mated once and bore six pups to his Siberian mate, K.C.. I've never seen more beautiful animals.
Like a Siberian, he always got out. Like a Malamute, his kidneys failed. At the age of seven, the disease struck him quickly and quietly. No one new he was sick till his check up. He lasted a month.
I miss him so much and so does K.C.. Our hearts ache. He was happy and gentle for such a large animal. Everyone fell for him immediately. Putting him down was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. He howled at the very end.
I beg that the Rainbow Bridge is real.
Frosty, my sweet Boo.
